Familiar Refrain

AZUSA, Calif. -- Sound familiar?

Due to the heavy rains that drenched Southern California the rescheduled tennis match between Westmont and Azusa Pacific was postponed until yesterday or, in other words, on the heels of the teams first meeting of the season.

The NAIA's No. 4-ranked Cougars made sure that the results were the same as they dumped the No. 18-ranked Warriors, 8-1.

The Cougars took an early lead getting a pair of spotless 8-0 wins in doubles play. The No. 1 team of Kim Tran and Jennifer Dao and the No. 3 duo of Peggy Bell and Raquel Gottfried each posted the dominant doubles victories.

With the victory, Azusa Pacific betters its record to 16-4 overall and 13-3 in the GSAC.
