LA MIRADA, Calif. -- As March begins to unfold and the weather begins to warm up it is a little easier to get loose and fly around the tennis court. While the weather may not have cooperated completely with some overcast skies it did not prevent the NAIA's No. 5-ranked Azusa Pacific from dominating Biola, 9-0, in a GSAC road match.
The Cougars only lost 6 games in as they swept doubles play getting an 8-0 victory by Christiana Scolinos and Lindsey Cloninger at No. 3 doubles. Raquel Gottfried and Katy Jelsma teamed at No. 2 and performed very impressively as they earned an 8-2 win.
Each of the singles matches were straight set wins for the Cougars including a 6-0, 6-4 victory for Jennifer Dao over Kristin Kelsey at No. 1 singles. Jelsma and Scolinos each blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
