La Mirada, Calif. -- After enduring a disheartening setback to Vanguard on the road yesterday, Azusa Pacific found some much-needed solace at, of all places, arch-rival Biola. In need of a win, the Cougars found it in rather easy fashion, downing Biola, 9-0, to get back on the GSAC winning trail Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars did not drop a set in picking up its 13th straight win over Biola. Sophomore Peggy Bell teamed with Bay Daniels to roll to an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Bell then ran through Ginny Bradshaw at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
With the victory Azusa Pacific improves to 5-2 overal, 3-1 in GSAC play.
