Glendora, Calif. --
Lindsey West is an All-American basketball player. She's a pretty good tennis player too.
West, who played tennis as a hobby in high school and then left it there, has return to tennis in college as something to do "after the season." Well she's not bad in this season too. Playing at No. 2 singles, West rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win after teaming with
Andrea Yorkey at No. 2 doubles for an 8-0 victory. With those 2 points, Azusa Pacific skipped its way to an 8-1 victory over Hope International, the Cougars 12th straight over the Royals.
Marilyn Wise lent strong support with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles, and
Stacy Wood tallied a 6-0, 6-2 result at No. 5 singles.
With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 12-3 overall, 5-2 in the GSAC.
