Fullerton, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific ran its season-opening winning streak to 9 straight with yet another 9-0 win, this time beating GSAC foe Hope International on it's own courts. It was the Cougars' fifth 9-0 victory of the season.
The Cougars jumbled their line-up and then were handed 3 points with match-opening defaults. As for the play on the court, freshman Jenay Asbury enjoyed her day in the sun, winning 6-0, 6-0 with a rare appearance at No. 4 singles.
Christiana Scolinos captured a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles, and teamed with
Marilyn Wise for an 8-0 win at No. 2.
Azusa Pacific has never lost in 11 meetings with Hope International.
