LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego defeated the NAIA's No. 18-ranked Azusa Pacific, 9-0, in nonconference women's tennis at the Northview Tennis Courts Saturday.

The 14^th-ranked Tritons swept doubles play, with junior Julie Westerman partnering with freshman Jenna Ishii to top Christina Earnest and Andrea Yorkey, 8-3, at No. 1. Sophomore Jasmin Dao and freshman Tara Siddiqui topped Mayu Sao and Brianne Hahn, 8-5, at No. 2, while junior Kristine Jansen and freshman Allison Ishii beat Hephzibah Segura and Marilyn Wise at No. 3 by the score of 8-4.

UCSD then took all six singles points from Azusa Pacific without dropping a set. Westerman, Dao, Siddiqui, Jansen, and freshmen Leigh Roberts and Marissa Hilker got by Sao, Earnest, Seguar, Hahan Yorkey and Wise at No. 1-6, respectively.

With the win, UCSD improves to 13-2 overall. Azusa Pacific drops to 7-8.
