(AZUSA, Calif.) – The NAIA's No. 19-ranked Azusa Pacific made quick work of visiting Hope International, 9-0, in its 2003 GSAC opener.

The Cougars swept all 9 matches, dropping just 4 games in the process.

Freshman Christian Earnest played at No. 1 singles for the first time this year and cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Christine LaRock for her first singles' win of the campaign. She also teamed with Brianne Hahn at No. 1 doubles for an 8-1 win over LaRock and Natalie Wilgenburg.

With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 2-1 overall, 1-0 GSAC.
