PLNU Downs Cougars to Win GSAC

GLENDORA, Calif. – Point Loma Nazarene, ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, clinched its second straight GSAC championship with an 8-1 win over No. 16-ranked Azusa Pacific Tuesday afternoon in Glendora.

The Cougars, who were trailing Point Loma by just ½ a game coming into the match, finish second for the second straight year.

Junior Brianne Hahn was the lone bright spot for the Cougars, winning for the 16^th time in 17 matches this year. She won at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 over the Crusaders' Tanya Leontieff.
