Biola Downs Azusa Pacific in 3

AZUSA, CALIF. -- Biola, the NAIA's No. 3-ranked volleyball team, defeated Azusa Pacific in three games, 15-11, 15-13, 15-12, in GSAC action Tuesday night in Azusa.

The Eagles were led by Sarah Roberts' 17 kills while Debbee Fulton had 10 kills and two blocks. Darcie Frazier added 13 digs. For the Cougars, Kelly Dryden had 19 kills and seven blocks.

The Cougars were ahead 12-10 in the third game, only to have Biola come back and score of the next five points to put Azusa Pacific away.

With the win, which was the Eagles' fourth straight over the Cougars, Biola improves to 11-3 overall, 2-0 in the GSAC. Azusa Pacific falls to 5–5 overall, 1–1 in the GSAC.

Azusa Pacific returns to action next Saturday (Sept. 27) against the NAIA's No. 5-ranked Fresno Pacific in Fresno.
