LOS ANGELES, Calif. — No. 36 Azusa Pacific continued its dominant season Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Cal State LA 7–0 at the Cal State LA Tennis Complex to improve to 17–2 overall.

The Cougars established early control by securing the doubles point with wins at Nos. 3 and 2. Melis Mert and Mariana Reveles opened with a strong 6–2 victory at No. 3, followed by Shannele Lopez and Kimberly Tran with another 6–2 win at No. 2 to clinch the point. The No. 1 match was left unfinished.

Azusa Pacific carried that momentum into singles, where the Cougars controlled all six courts.

Melis Mert was first off the court with a dominant 6–2, 6–0 win at No. 4 singles, followed by Kimberly Tran at No. 5 with a commanding 6–0, 6–2 victory. Shannele Lopez added another point at No. 3, cruising to a 6–2, 6–1 win to extend APU's lead.

The Cougars continued to roll as Mariana Reveles secured a straight-set victory at No. 6.

No. 36 Stina Larsson capped the day in dramatic fashion at No. 1, rallying after dropping the first set and closing out a super tiebreak to complete the sweep.
