REDLANDS, Calif. — No. 12 Azusa Pacific men's tennis delivered a dominant road performance Friday night, defeating Redlands 4–0 to secure a sweep-clinching win in nonconference play.
The Cougars set the tone early in doubles action, winning two of three courts to claim the opening point. Mathys Pinoit and Soeren Grandke earned a 6–4 victory at No. 1 doubles, while David James Brownlee and Viktor Van Craenenbroeck edged their opponents 7–6 at No. 2.

With momentum on their side, Azusa Pacific carried that energy into singles.
At the top of the lineup, Soeren Grandke secured a straight-sets win at No. 1 singles, setting the tone for the Cougars. Mathys Pinoit followed with a composed 6–4, 6–4 victory at No. 2, and Viktor Van Craenenbroeck added another straight-set win at No. 4 to move APU within striking distance of the clinch.
The decisive fourth point came as Azusa Pacific continued to control the middle of the lineup, sealing the 4–0 result before the remaining matches concluded.
