AZUSA, Calif. — Azusa Pacific has officially announced the 2026 baseball schedule, revealing a rigorous slate that begins in late January and culminates with the Pacific West Conference Tournament in May. The 2026 campaign features a balanced mix of local rivalries, key conference homestands at the Cougar Baseball Complex, and significant road tests in Hawaii and Utah.
The Cougars will open the 2026 season on Friday, January 30, kicking off a split series against local rival Cal Poly Pomona. The season opener takes place in Pomona before the series shifts to Azusa for the home opener on Saturday, January 31, with a doubleheader at the Cougar Baseball Complex.
Following opening weekend, APU hosts Northwest Nazarene for a doubleheader on Tuesday, February 3, before hitting the road for a three-game set at Cal State Monterey Bay from February 5–7. The team returns to Southern California for a four-game split series against Westmont in mid-February, playing in Santa Barbara on the 13th and hosting the Warriors for a doubleheader on the 14th.
PacWest Play and the Hawaii Road Trip Conference play heats up quickly with a four-game home series against Fresno Pacific (Feb. 19–21). The Cougars will then embark on their longest road trip of the year, flying to the islands for an eight-game stretch in Hawaii. They face Chaminade in Honolulu from February 28 to March 2, followed immediately by a four-game series against Hawaii Pacific from March 5–7.
Upon returning to the mainland, the Cougars enjoy a significant homestand in mid-March. They will host Hawaii Hilo for four games (March 14–16) and welcome Jessup for a four-game set (March 27–28). Sandwiched between these series is a rivalry clash with Point Loma, featuring a doubleheader in San Diego on March 20 and a home twin bill in Azusa on March 21.
April brings intensified competition as the regular season winds down. The month begins with a split series against Biola (April 3–4) and midweek action against Vanguard. A major highlight of the late-season schedule is a road trip to St. George, Utah, where the Cougars will face Division I Utah Tech for a four-game series from April 10–12.
The regular season concludes with a split series against Concordia Irvine (April 17–18) and a final road trip to Atherton to face Menlo (April 24–25).
Postseason The Cougars will look to extend their season into May at the PacWest Conference Tournament. The postseason is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Santa Barbara, Calif.
