AZUSA, Calif. - #20 Azusa Pacific stayed undefeated, earning their 10th win of the season with a 6-1 victory over Hawai'i Pacific today. The Cougars defeated the Sharks in four our of six matches on singles, while Elias Emilio Walter and Constantin Barth remained undefeated. Soeren Grandke is also on a nine match winning streak, going 6-0 on singles No. 4. 

How it Happened: It was a battle for the doubles point as Grandke and Barth won 6-3 at No. 3 before Walter and Miha Velicki clinched the point on No. 1 via a 6-4 score to give Azusa Pacific an early 1-0 lead. 

In singles, Barth cruised to a straight-set victory at No. 6, 6-1, 6-1 to give the Cougars a 2-0 advantage. Walter then defeated his opponent in straight-set fashion once again at No. 1 (6-1, 6-4) to give Azusa Pacific a commanding 3-0 lead. 

Grandke earned the Cougars fourth straight-set victory at No. 4, 6-3, 6-3 to clinch the match for Azusa Pacific. Hawai'i Pacific earned a point with a victory on court No. 3 before Velicki cruised to the Cougars fourth straight-set victory at singles on the day (6-3, 6-4) to go up 5-1.

Azusa Pacific led 5-1 before Brody Bohren's match on No. 5 went to a tiebreaker in set three. Bohren prevailed (4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4)) to give Azusa Pacific its final point of the day, ending the match victorious by a final score of 6-1.
