AZUSA, Calif. - No. 15 Azusa Pacific won its third home match of the season, beating Point Loma by a 6-1 score on Friday afternoon. The Cougars, which started the season ranked No. 17 in the nation, have moved up two spots in the national poll to No. 15 with a 5-1 overall record.

April Wong and Miruna Tudor started things off for the Cougars with a 6-2 win in the No. 2 doubles matchup. At No. 1, Eleonora Liga and Madison Kane (No. 5 ranked doubles duo in the nation) clinched the doubles point for the Cougars, winning 6-3. In their four matches together this season, Liga & Kane have not allowed their opponents to win more than three games.

The Cougars rolled to the match victory with five straight-set wins in singles. Kane put Azusa Pacific up 2-0 overall, after she won 6-1, 6-1 over Joelle Lanz (ranked No. 37 nationally) at No. 2.
