Azusa Pacific tennis has four members in the ITA Rankings as Eleonora Liga is the highest-ranked Cougar coming in at No. 4 in all of Division II singles on the women's side while Ryan Nuno is ranked No. 10 on the men's side. Men's doubles pairs such as Nuno and Leyton Bohren are ranked No. 26 in doubles while Bohren and Miha Veliki are ranked No. 31. The men's team is the No. 18 team in the nation while the women are ranked No. 32.
The men's side is currently 11-4 on the season and has won four in a row including a dramatic comeback victory over No. 8 ranked (5th ranked at the time) UIndy last week. During the win streak, Nuno has won all three of his singles matches at No. 1 and is 8-4 on the season. Nuno has had an impressive season with wins over other ranked opponents such as Hawai'i Hilo's Martin Soukal (No. 3), Point Loma's Tyler Davis (No. 28), UIndy's Tom Zeuch (No. 34), and Concordia's Leon Czarnikou (No. 45).
As for doubles, Nuno and Bohren also have won each of their previous two matches at doubles No. 1 improving their record together to 10-4 on the season. As for Velicki, he sports an 8-2 overall record at No. 2 doubles with his usual partner Elias Emilio Walter.
The women's side is 9-6 on the season and is coming off a big 7-0 win over Colorado Mesa. Liga, the lone ranked Cougar, has ranked wins over UIndy's Isabella Dunlap (No. 10 ranked singles player), Hawai'i Pacific's Elodie Busson (No. 34 ranked singles player), Fresno Pacific's Lea Falentin (No. 45 ranked), and Concordia's Heather Richards (No. 72 ranked) this season and is 13-1 overall at No. 1.
