GREENSBORO, N.C. — On the final day of the NCAA Swim & Dive Championships, Azusa Pacific saw both Amy Crayne and Melia Stout finish with All-American status in the 1-meter dive competition after finishing fifth and eighth. Crayne's fifth-place finish is the highest ever in Azusa Pacific swimming & diving history as is the 43 total points the Cougars recorded throughout the Championships. Their 22nd place team finish was the highest of any team in the PCSC Conference at the division II level. A perfect ending to one of the most successful seasons in swim & dive program history.

Montana White also finished nationals with a solid swim in the 100 Free as she finished in 20th place in the prelims just falling short of qualifying for finals.

How it Happened: White kicked off the final day in heat four of the 100 Free as she posted a prelim time of 50.99 which was just a tenth of a second off of the finals qualifying time. White finished in 20th place to finish off the impressive freshman season that saw her tie the highest finish at Nationals in program history (before it was broken again by Crayne today) taking home sixth in the 200 Free.

The divers followed up White with good showings in the 1-meter prelims as they both qualified for the finals which took place Saturday night. Then, Crayne led the Cougars as she took home fifth place in the finals finishing with a score of 422.85. It's her second straight season she has earned All-American status after last season she took home sixth. Her fifth-place finish is the highest ever in Azusa Pacific swim & dive history which beat out White and herself from last year.

Stout followed closely behind Crayne taking eighth place to earn All-American status with a score of 408.60. This is Stout's first All-American recognition as she has only received honorable mentions to this point.

The Cougars' season comes to a close with tonight's events as it was one of, if not the most successful season in Azusa Pacific swim & dive history. They tied a program record with the highest finish at the PCSC Championships with a third place finish before 43 points at Nationals which is also a program best.
