Entering the Pacific West Conference tournament this week, Azusa Pacific men's basketball holds the No. 2 seed with an 18-8 overall record and finished 15-4 in PacWest action. The Cougars were led by Justin Hemsley and Ken West throughout the season as both were selected to the All-PacWest First Team Tuesday evening.

The two are just the second duo in Azusa Pacific history to be featured on the conference's first team together as Selom Mawugbe and Jake Spurgeon did it in 2019-20.

West led the Cougars in minutes played, points, and rebounds this season averaging 13.5 points/game, 5.0 rebounds/game in almost 27 minutes per game. West caught fire towards the end of the season averaging 16.8 points over the last seven games, three of which he scored 20 or more.

Hemsley, a transfer from the University of Hawai'i, was right on West's heels in points and rebounds. He averaged 13.3 points/game and 4.4 rebounds/game and was particularly crucial at the beginning of the PacWest schedule where he averaged 21.5 points over the first four conference games en route to winning PacWest Player of the Week.
