SANTA BARBARA, Calif - Azusa Pacific women's swimming & diving had a fantastic showing in Santa Barbara today, earning 11 first place finishes in the pool in a dual meet against Westmont.
Montana White earned four first place finishes and eight different Cougars touched the wall first in their respective events.Â
The Cougars opened the day earning a first place finish in the 200 medley relay, with
Amanda Anderson,
Delanie Gearing,
Madeline Schultz and White finishing with a time of 1:53.05.
Hannah Swailes then took home a first place finish of 2:02.64 in the 200 free, finishing nearly five seconds before teammate
Elaine Wong who took home second.Â
White touched the wall first in the 100 IM with a time of 1:00.94, and teammate
Riley Smith finished second at 1:02.07. In the 50 back,
Marci Yanagawa had a strong showing, earning a fist place time of 28.23. In the 50 breast, Gearing earned first with a time of 32.56 and also finished first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:16.08.Â
Connor Herrin completed the 100 back with a first place finishing time of 1:02.60 and White tabbed two more first place finishes in the 100 fly (59.31), 100 breast (1:09.70) and the 100 free (54.58).Â
To close out the meet, Schultz, Smith, Swailes and White earned a first place finishing time of 1:40.71 in the 200 free relay.Â
