AZUSA, Calif. - Azusa Pacific was defeated by Division I opponent Cal State Northride on Friday by a score of 7-0.
The Cougars lost two of their three doubles matches against the Matadors. The No. 1 and No. 2 matches finished first, clinching the doubles point for Cal State Northridge. The No. 3 contest was won by the Cougars in which the pairing of Courtney Page and Madison Kane won in a close matchup by a score of 7-6 (13-11).
The singles portion began by the Cougars falling in the No. 5 and No. 6 matchups in straight sets. The match was clinched in the No. 2 by the Matadors by a score of 3-6, 3-6. The final three contests ended in the order of No. 1, No. 4, and then No. 3. All of the three final matchups ended in three sets.
The Cougars will return to the court on Monday to face Metro State. The contest is set to begin at 2:00 PM and will be a home matchup for Azusa Pacific. The match can be followed via live stats here.
