AZUSA, Calif. - Azusa Pacific was defeated by Division I opponent Cal State Northride on Friday by a score of 7-0.Â

The Cougars lost two of their three doubles matches against the Matadors. The No. 1 and No. 2 matches finished first, clinching the doubles point for Cal State Northridge. The No. 3 contest was won by the Cougars in which the pairing of Courtney Page and Madison Kane won in a close matchup by a score of 7-6 (13-11).Â

The singles portion began by the Cougars falling in the No. 5 and No. 6 matchups in straight sets. The match was clinched in the No. 2 by the Matadors by a score of 3-6, 3-6. The final three contests ended in the order of No. 1, No. 4, and then No. 3. All of the three final matchups ended in three sets.Â
