COLUMBUS, Georgia – Azusa Pacific lost 4-0 to No. 4 Columbus State on Friday afternoon. In doubles, Columbus State took two of the three matchups, with Azusa Pacific's duo of
Petra Ivankovic and
Audrey Stewart claiming a 7-5 win to avoid a clean sweep for the hosts.
In singles, Columbus State picked up two more points and took a 3-0 lead with two-set wins at the #2 and #5 spots.
April Wong battled at #4 to keep the Cougars alive in the contest, but she eventually fell in the third set and Columbus State wrapped up the 4-0 win.
The Cougars will close out the trip to Georgia against Flagler College tomorrow, Saturday, March 7.
