SURPRISE, Ariz.-- In the quarterfinal match of the PacWest tournament, the Azusa Pacific women's tennis team defeated Concordia 4-0 to move onto Friday's 1:00 p.m. semifinals against the No.2 seed Hawai'i Pacific.

The No. 20 Cougars and the Eagles have run into each other on two seperate occasions throughout the season. Both matches wrote in favor for APU, winning 4-0 on the road and 4-2 on the home courts.
The Cougars jumped out early in doubles play at court two with the tandem of
Anna Savchenko and
April Wong downing the Eagles 6-1. At the No.3 position,
Petra Ivankovic and
Audrey Stewart nabbed another quick victory over their opponents 6-2 to claim the doubles point.
Heading into singles with a 1-0 lead,
Mikayla Rinker kept that same momentum at the No. 6 spot, winning both sets 6-1 to extend the lead 2-0 for the Cougars. Up next was
April Wong at court five with another APU victory. Wong breezed her way to a 6-1, 6-4 win before senior
Kara Hinton clinched the match at the No. 3 position with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Up next, the Cougars will take on Hawai'i Pacific for the first time since the season opener, which the Sharks won 4-3. The winner of Friday's match will advance to the Championship match that's scheduled for Saturday April, 20 at 1:00 p.m.
