Marci Yanagawa will join Azusa Pacific swim & dive next season, as Cougar head coach Tim Kyle announced her signing last week.

Yanagawa, from Irvine, attends Arnold O. Beckman High School. She currently swims for the SoCal Aquatics club, where she is a Platinum swimmer for coach Stephen Pickell. Her top events include the 100 & 200 yard backstroke, and the 200 yard I.M. "We are very excited to welcome Marci to the Cougar swim family," said Coach Kyle, "she is a great fit for our program, as she is an excellent student and a driven, committed athlete. We are looking forward to her joining our program next season."

Upon her arrival on campus, Yanagawa plans to major in psychology.
