SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Azusa Pacific opened up PacWest play with a commanding 6-0 win over Academy of Art. The second-ranked Cougars were in control of the match from the outset, as
Bruno Pagani scored in the sixth minute and Azusa Pacific never looked back.

Pagani's goal was assisted by
Arturo Astorga, as Astorga found him just outside the penalty box and Pagani sent a line shot to the left side of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
James Ndubueze added the Cougars' second goal of the first half, as he received a cross from
Zac Ingalls, and sent a right foot strike to the right side to make the score 2-0.

The Cougars continued to score in the second half, as Ndubueze scored his second goal of the game in the 56
th minute. Astorga had his second assist in the game on the goal, as he sent a through ball in to Ndubueze.

Less than two minutes later, Astorga found the back of the net when he attacked into the penalty box and sent a ball into the bottom left corner to put Azusa Pacific up 4-0. Ingalls was given an assist on the play, for his second of the game.

In the 80
th minute,
Daniel Osei-tutu scored his first goal of his collegiate career, when
David Kwinn sent the ball out of the penalty box and Osei-tutu one touched it to the top left corner of the goal.

Adrian Preciado added the final goal for Azusa Pacific, when he found the back of the net in the 82
nd minute of action. On the play,
Shady Metry and Astorga were credited with assists.

Defensively, the Cougars allowed just one shot by the Urban Knights, and only one corner for Academy of Art.

"It was a complete performance today," said head coach Dave Blomquist, "We moved the ball well and defended with organization. Our execution in the attack was sharp and it was fantastic to have multiple players score today."

With the win, Azusa Pacific is now 8-0 overall, and 1-0 in PacWest play. The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m., when Azusa Pacific takes on Holy Names in Oakland.
