Azusa Pacific continued its PacWest campaign in San Diego against Point Loma on Saturday, falling 2-0 on two first half goals.<br />

Point Loma scored early in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute through Makenna Herrero's effort. The Sea Lions scored again in the 33rd minute when Julia Glaser's header found the back of the net on a corner kick.<br />

Although the Sea Lions bagged two goals in the first half, the Cougars' defense only gave up four shots and the offense was able to break out and start some attacks of their own. However, their only shot on goal came off of a deep free-kick from
Katie Prado.<br />

In the second half, the Cougars again looked to spark a little bit of offense, but could not connect passes in the final third. The defense, however, held strong. Azusa Pacific only allowed another four shots and keeper
Jennifer Kovisto finished the day with five saves.<br />

With the loss, Azusa Pacific falls to 5-4-1 on the season. The Cougars return back to Azusa for a five-game stretch at home beginning on Saturday, October 19 against Concordia.<br />
