AZUSA, Calif. -- Sophomore forward Laura Pranger and junior guard Zoe March combined for 48 points to lead the Azusa Pacific women's basketball team to its first Pacific West Conference victory with a 94-62 win over Holy Names Thursday night at the Felix Center.
The Cougars came out with a strong running jump, outscoring the Hawks 21-14 in the first quarter with Pranger scoring the Cougars' first seven points of the game. Azusa Pacific held on to the lead and never looked back, leading by as many as 33 points (90-57 in the fourth quarter) to seal the team's first conference win.

How It Happened: Azusa Pacific forced 33 turnovers against Holy Names which led to a 40-5 margin in points off turnovers. The Cougars also pushed the ball to outscore the Hawks 32-11 off fast break points. APU outshot Holy Names from the field, as the Cougars went 36-of-78 (46.2 percent) from the field, including a total of nine three-pointers behind the arc.
Azusa Pacific Standouts: Pranger and March each finished with a game-high of 24 points, along with four rebounds and a pair of three-pointers each. Savanna Hanson recorded her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
What's Next: The Azusa Pacific women's basketball team will continue to host at the Felix Center on Saturday, Dec. 1, against conference foe Notre Dame De Namur. Game time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
