CARSON, Calif. – Azusa Pacific rallied from a pair of deficits but couldn't complete the comeback as they fell 4-3 in overtime to Cal State Dominguez Hills.

With the setback the Cougars move to 0-2 while Cal State Dominguez Hills ups its record to 2-0.

COUGARS FIGHT BACK … TWICE

After goals in the 17th and 44th minutes respectively by the Toros, David Kwinn scored his first goal in a Cougar uniform with just 39 ticks left in the first half. Kwinn took a feed from Kaleb Armbrust and broke away for the goal.

In the 60th minute, Zach McCollum came from his defensive position and headed a ball just over the goal line after the Cal State Dominguez Hills goal keeper made an initial save. It was the senior's first collegiate goal.

The home team quickly retook the lead on a Juan Hernandez goal in the 66th minute. The score remained 3-2 until Callum Wallace scored in the 87th minute. His first goal of the season came off excellent passes from Armbrust and Kwinn.

The comeback was not to be as Guillermo Saldana scored less than three minutes into overtime. It was his second goal of the game.

LOTS OF SHOTS

Cal State Dominguez Hills peppered the back line of the Cougars as they held a 29-13 edge in overall shots. The home's 12th shot on goal proved to be the game winner. Azusa Pacific put seven shots on frame.
