Azusa Pacific's men's tennis team improved to 7-1 after their Friday evening victory over Westmont College 7-2.
 
In doubles, Oliver Frank and Pascel Engel posted the Cougars only double win 8-2. 

Results

Singles was a completely different story as every Cougar recorded a win. 

In the No. 1 slot, Frank walked away with a 6-4, 6-2 success. Christian Schmid in the No. 2 spot came back to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 over opponent Philipp Sibbel. In the No. 3 position  Pascel  Engel registered a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory over the Warriors Christian Mathis. Azusa Pacific's Shephard Newcomb tallied a 7-5, 6-4 win over John Joens, as teammate Antonio Pejic came out on top over Westmont's captain Tommy Nightingale 6-0, 7-6(5). Wrapping up the evening was Roberto Lucani vicory over Luke Barnard 7-6(4), 7-5. 
 
Azusa Pacific returns to the court Sunday matching up with Brigham Young University-Hawaii at 9:30 a.m.
