TURLOCK, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific sent 11 batters to the plate in a six-run fifth inning of its third game Friday at the Tournament of Champions, rallying from two defeats earlier in the day and a 5-0 deficit to Cal State East Bay to rally for a 6-5 win. GAME 1: Northwest Nazarene 2, Azusa Pacific 1
Megan Mejia allowed just three hits over six innings in the opening game of the day, but Northwest Nazarene scored single runs in the second and third innings to produce just enough offense to edge Azusa Pacific. The Cougars left 10 runners on base, scoring one run on eight hits as Sprague reached safely in all four of her plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with two walks.
Erinn Jaramillo led off the fourth inning with a double to right-center, setting up Azusa Pacific's only score when Jenna Gorman delivered a two-out RBI single later in the frame to cut Northwest Nazarene's lead to 2-1.

GAME 2: Stanislaus State 4, Azusa Pacific 1
The Cougars struck first in the second game of the day, using a two-out rally to generate an unearned run in the bottom of the third inning. Sprague hit an infield single to shortstop with two runners on base, but the ball was misplayed into an extra base for the two runners on base, and Illiana Jimenez raced around third base to score for a 1-0 lead.
Stanislaus State answered in the top of the fourth, tying the game at 1-1 on a one-out single, and the Warriors added two more in the fifth inning to take the lead for good. Stanislaus added a seventh-inning insurance run for the final 4-1 margin, as 12 of the final 14 Azusa Pacific hitters were retired by Kylie Ragsdale, who picked up the complete-game win for the Warriors.

GAME 3: Azusa Pacific 6, Cal State East Bay 5
Cal State East Bay jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning, adding another run in the third inning to take a 5-0 lead. The Cougars, held to two hits through the first four innings, loaded the bases on three consecutive one-out singles from Abry Moreno, Illiana Jimenez, and Cayla Broussard, setting the table for Sprague's two-run single back up the middle on the first pitch she saw.
Kayla Jimenez followed Sprague's one-pitch at-bat with a 15-pitch at-bat, fouling off nine two-strike offerings after falling behind in the count, 0-2, and eventually drawing a walk to load the bases again. After a popup for the second out, Ariana von Zboray chopped a single just over the pitcher for an infield single that cut the lead to 5-3. Megan Tucker was hit by pitch, forcing in another run that made it 5-4, and Davis dropped a single down the left-field line to score the tying and go-ahead runs with two outs in the fifth. .
Kat Ung picked up the victory in relief, allowing one hit with a pair of strikeouts in three shutout innings. Sprague, Broussard, and Moreno each had two hits to lead the Cougars' offense, which registered six of its nine hits in the game-turning fifth inning.
