Too Much for the Mavericks

Azusa Pacific are now 10-3 overall after recording a 7-2 victory over Colorado Mesa.
 
Results

The Cougars started the match on a high note winning two of the three doubles matches. Oliver Frank and Antonio Pejic tallied a 8-2 victory at the No. 1 position as teammates Pasal Engel and Christian Shmid 8-4. Dropping the No. 3 double 8-5. The Cougars ran with a 2-1 lead into singles play.
 
No. 1 Frank defeated Cody Freischlag 6-4, 6-1 recording the Cougars first singles win. Schmid notched a 6-2, 6-0 win over Max Lindqvist at the No. 2 spot. Engel tallied a 6-2, 6-2 victory over opponent Nicholas Farmen. Marnix Pluim came out on top after dropping his second set, winning 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 in the No. 4 slot. Roberto Luconi defeated Oliver Lindvist 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) at the No. 5 position. Cameron Backmen in the No. 6 spot dropped his first set, came back to win the second set but at the end came up short 0-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4).  
 
The Cougars play again Monday, March 20th at home facing Hawaii of Hilo at 1:00 p.m.
