AZUSA, Calif. – In their only home meet of the season, the Cougars honored their seniors then proceeded to post first-place finishes.
The Azusa Pacific swimmers and divers beat Biola 160-74 by winning seven of the 13 swimming events and both diving disciplines.
SWIMMING RECAP: A trio of swimmers won both their individuals competitions for the Cougars as Elodie Poo Cheong, Abigail Wiet and Rosalee Mira Santa Ana totaled 54 team points with their six first-place finishes.

Poo Cheong continued her strong start to the season by winning the 50 freestyle in 24.39 which was just .03 seconds better than Lisa Tixier's time from Biola. Her 100 butterfly effort (59.53) outdistanced the competition by just over one second. The junior has yet to lose a dual meet event this season.
Just also dominate has been the long distance swimming of Santa Ana. The senior is also perfect in dual meets as she won the 200 freestyle (1:55.35) and the 500 freestyle (5:08.37) in convincing fashion.
Wiet posted a first-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.38 then followed that by touching the wall first in the 100 backstroke (1:01.71). The junior also swam an "off event" and finished second in the 1000 freestyle in 11:01.78.
In that event, Tamara Miler was just a few ticks faster as she touched the wall in 10:59.53 for nine first-place points for Azusa Pacific.
DIVING RECAP:
McKenna Webster continues to impress for the Cougars during the early portion of the schedule. The freshman took top honors in both dive disciplines.

Webster nudged out teammate Kianna Mouer each time. Webster won the three-meter with a score of 267.37 while Mouer was right behind her with a total of 258.90. As close as that was, Webster's total of 242.7 in the three-meter was just 0.3 more than Mourer's score of 242.4.
Rachel John's finished third in each by scoring 210.8 in three-meter and 207.50 in one-meter. Shelby Gore also dove for the Cougars as she scored 147.4 in one-meter and 170.5 in three-meter.
