Cougars Soar Over the Hawks

OAKLAND, Calif. – There was little doubt who was the better team on Friday evening.

Azusa Pacific showed its dominance with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-14) win against Holy Names in the season's penultimate regular season contest.

With the win the Cougars move to 21-6 overall and 14-5 in league games. The Hawks remain winless on the season in their 29 matches as they closed out the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Cougar hitters were on-point all night. As a team they posted a .320 hitting percentage led by Julianne Miller's .750 hitting mark. The sophomore had kills on her first 15 attempts. She ended up with those 15 kills to lead all attackers.

Aliyah Morrison had seven kills on 11 attempts, with just one error, to notch a .545 hitting percentage. Madison Ogas (9 kills) and Sara Wagenveld (8) also contributed significantly as they tallied .333 and .312 hitting percentages respectively.
