Cara Scammon scored the only goal of the opening half. The sophomore headed home a beautiful cross from Kelsey Brushman in the 12th minute. Scammon had an easy deposit of the ball into the back of the cage from just a few yards out.

Mallory Walton scored on a blast from the top of the box for her first goal of the season, and second of her career, to start the onslaught. Just over three minutes later Kennedy Christie recorded her first goal in a Cougar uniform on nice feed from Allyn Brown. The freshman scoring continue in the 66th minute as Emile Allum put home a corner kick from Hayley Arft. In less than seven minutes the Cougars had a four-goal advantage.
Cal State L.A.'s (1-2-1) lone goal came from a penalty kick. Anahie Duran scored her fourth goal of the season with the free shot in the 68th minute.
Tanna Brickman rounded out the scoring with her first career goal. The sophomore had a nice give-and-go net-finder with Arft in the 73rd minute.
The four-goal win follows Thursday's four-goal victory against Cal State Monterey Bay. The nine goals in that time period have come from nine different players.
Azusa Pacific will look to continue that trend on Tuesday, in their final non-conference game, when they host Cal Poly Pomona.
