The squad is the sixth-seed in the West Region and will play third-seeded Sonoma State in the first-round at Noon on Thursday, Nov. 10. The contest will take place at UC San Diego's Triton Soccer Stadium. The winner of the game will face the host Tritons in the second round on Saturday.

Last season the Cougars posted a 1-0 victory against Sonoma State in the second round of the NCAA Championship. Azusa Pacific's 2015 campaign came to an end in the West Region title game 1-0 against top seed Western Washington.

Since the program began in 1989, Azusa Pacific has missed the post season just twice.
