AZUSA, Calif. – For each of the last three seasons the Cougars have had just one chance to win at home. Once again, they took advantage of that opportunity.

On Saturday morning Azusa Pacific won a pair of dual meets as they posted wins against Biola and Chapman. The Cougars beat Chapman 168-71 as well as topping Biola 172-60.

After the double victories, the Cougars took a few moments to honor five seniors who have been with the program the last four seasons.

The Cougar tandem of Kianna Mourer and Rachel Johns took the diving boards off site. Mourer finished second in the one-meter (248.55) and won the three-meter (259.90) competition. Johns scored 192.05 and 197.40 respectively to contribute a third place finish in both events.

During the swimming portion of the meet, the Cougars claimed the first place spot in nine of the 11 events.

The 400-yard medley relay started things on the right stroke as the quartet of Abigail Wiet, Elodie Poo Cheong, Angel Van Hofwegen and Alyse Darnall never trailed as they posted a winning time of 4:05.05 which outdistanced themselves from second-place Biola by over six seconds.

Tamara Miller cruised to a big win during the mile race. The junior transfer touched the wall in 18:06.81 to top teammate Makenna Bertrand (19:05.11). Another first-year Cougar continued the string of first-place finishes as Hallie Jones swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.39 which was two-hundredth of a second faster than the runner-up spot.

Poo Cheong and Van Hofwegen went one-two respectively during the 50-yard freestyle. During the one-lap race Poo Cheong hit the wall first in 25.25 while her counterpart went 25.32. The next top performance came from Wiet who won the 400-yard IM in and efficient time of 4:43.43.

During the 200-yard butterfly the string of Cougar first-place finishes was broken as Biola's Lisa Trixier claimed the top spot. Van Hofwegen, Jones and Bailie Carroll had a nice tangle for the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle. Van Hofwegan (53.67) got the top finish with Jones (54.41) and Carroll (55.12) coming in behind her.

As the competition continued the last non-Cougar win in an event came during the 200-yard backstroke as Chapman's Sarah Quach (2:11.89) took the top spot. Miller won her second distance event of the day with a time of 5:19.99 in the 500-yard freestyle. Allison got her senior day win as she notched a time of 2:29.97 during the 200-yard breastroke.

The day came to a close as the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Poo Cheong, Darnall, Carroll and Jones won with a time of 1:41.65.
