FAIRBANKS, Alaska – Azusa Pacific took their annual trip to the great white north for their annual dual meets with Alaska.
The host Nanooks won each meet in the first dual competitions of the season for Azusa Pacific.
Friday Oct. 28 – Alaska 123, Azusa Pacific 82

Azusa Pacific won a relay and an individual event but the host Nanooks took first-place during the rest of the events to secure the team win.
Angel Van Hofwegen recorded a solid time of 58.68 to win the 100-yard butterfly by nearly three seconds.
During the competition's final event, the relay team of Bailie Carroll, Elodie Poo Cheong, Hallie Jones and Alyse Darnall won the 200-yard freestyle swim with a time of 1:41.57.
Saturday, Oct. 29 – Alaska 126, Azusa Pacific 79

Similar to the Friday meet, the Nanooks posted a first-place finish in all 11 events to overcome an Azusa Pacific squad who notched numerous second and third place wall touches.
Alaska scored 103 team points for their top finishes.
The Cougars finished second in all but one race and was third best finisher in nine events.
Abigial Wiet, Rosalee Mira Santa Ana and Tamara Miller each scored a team best seven points during individual events.
