Azusa Pacific posted their first PacWest win of the season by controlling Chaminade 3-0 on Thursday afternoon.
Azusa Pacific thoroughly dominated the game statistically as they set season highs for total shots (26) shots on goal (14). Chaminade got off just one shot in the contest.
Amanda Hardy opened the scoring with her first goal of the season late in the first half. The senior found the back of the net off a deflection from the Swords goalie. Alyx Williams provided the initial shots before Hardy buried home the first goal of the game in the 36th minute
Darby Emmons recorded her first collegiate goal in the 43rd minute as the Cougars took a 2-0 lead just before intermission. The freshman took a shot from 35 yards out from the left side off a feed from Williams.Â
The Cougars spread their lead to three goals in the 63rd minute when Katelyn Rogers scored a goal from a shot from 15 yards out. She was assisted on the play by Shannon Hardy.Â
The final game of the Cougars four-game swing in the islands is Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (HST) against BYU-Hawaii.Â
Zoe Bauman recorded her second straight shutout in her second career start.Â
