AZUSA, Calif. -- Another match against another opponent may be the case as the schedule rolls along but the end game results have been the same for top-ranked Azusa Pacific.
Perhaps even surprising themselves with how well they are playing, the Cougars rolled to a 7-2 win over visiting No. 10-ranked Fresno Pacific, Thursday, which moved them to a perfect 11-0 on the season including a 6-0 conference mark.
“We are playing really good tennis right now but I also think there is some room for improvement and that we will continue to get better,” said head coach Mark Bohren.
Patrick Kur continues to be quite a find for the Cougars as the freshman again played poised tennis as he beat Anthony Zafiris, 6-1, 6-3.
Azusa Pacific now gets a week of rest before continuing GSAC action against Hope International on March 10.
