AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, defeated NCAA Division III No. 7-ranked Washington (Mo.), 9-0, Saturday to remain undefeated.

The Cougars improve to 14-0 with the win, while the Bears, who advanced to the 2003 NCAA Elite Eight, drop to 2-5.

Sam Fletcher remained perfect this year with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win over Brian Alvo at No. 1 singles. Fletcher and Adam Davidson got things started with an 8-4 win over Chee Lee and Ari Rosenthal at No. 1 doubles.
