AZUSA, Calif. -- Reigning GSAC champion and ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, Azusa Pacific tuned its game as it prepares for a tough Spring Break trip to Florida next week with a 9-0 sweep of Alliant International in a non-conference match.

The win is the Cougars’ third straight non-conference win and it is their 13th 9-0 win of the season. They did it again without dropping a single set in singles’ or doubles’ action. Sam Fletcher remained unbeaten this year with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Andreas Zingman at No. 1 singles.

With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 19-5 overall. Next week, the Cougars travel to Florida where they will take on Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.), ranked No. 17 in the NAIA, and NCAA Division II No. 5-ranked Barry (Fla.).
