A Piece Of GSAC History

LA MIRADA, CALIF -- The NAIA's No.2-ranked Azusa Pacific grabbed a piece of GSAC history with its 14th consecutive win after knocking off Biola, 3-0, in GSAC play Saturday afternoon in La Mirada. The win, which is the Cougars' 14th straight, gives the Cougars a share of the GSAC record for consecutive wins set originally by Westmont (1994-96).

Janay Duran, Kimber Carter, and Melissa Myers each tallied goals for the Cougars, who led 2-0 at the half. Carter, Andrea Alfiler and Kendra Payne recorded the assists. Rachel Yanos recorded her eighth shutout of the season while making eight saves.

Azusa Pacific is off to its best start in program history (14-0, 5-0) and is now just 1 of 3 undefeated teams left in the GSAC.
