AZUSA, CALIF. -- Freshman reserve Raymond Tuff came off the bench to score a career-high 28 points to lead the NAIA's No. 9-ranked Azusa Pacific to a 97-71 Golden State Athletic Conference win over Concordia in the Cougardome, Tuesday night.

With the Cougars up 20-19 with 9:27 left in the first half, Tutt ignited a 21-0 run in 5 1/2  minutes with 11 points on the strength of three 3-pointers to put Azusa Pacific in command at 41-19 with 4:39 left in the first half.

Concordia rallied to within four points (54-50) with 11:38 left in the game, but Tutt single-handedly kept the Eagles at bay with a pair of three pointers in two minutes to put the Cougars up 62-52. The victory was Azusa Pacific's record-setting 24th straight at home, breaking the old mark of 23 in a row set by the 1972-73-74 Cougar teams.

For the evening, Tutt hit 11-of-14 shots from the floor, including 6-0f-9 from the three-point ark. Junior Greg Alley came off the bench to can 16 points on 5-for-6 shooting, including a 4-for-5 clip from the 3-point arc.

The victory also kept the Cougars in first place in the GSAC and was Azusa Pacific's 10th straight win. In addition, it was Azusa Pacific's 18th straight GSAC victory, a conference record.
