Thomas Webb joins Azusa Pacific after serving on the coaching staff at Colorado State University Pueblo, where he coached the cornerbacks and helped guide the ThunderWolves to one of the nation's most dominant defenses. During his tenure, CSU Pueblo earned a Top-10 national ranking while leading all NCAA divisions in interceptions and turnovers forced. Webb played an integral role in defensive game planning, opponent scouting, personnel analysis, and the development of weekly strategies for the defensive backfield.
Widely regarded as one of the rising young coaches in the profession, Webb quickly established himself as a trusted member of the ThunderWolves staff. He oversaw all aspects of the cornerback position, including meetings, film study, practice instruction, scout team organization, academic accountability, and community engagement. His responsibilities also included producing weekly personnel reports, pass-game breakdowns, and opponent scouting reports that contributed to the success of a defense built on discipline, physicality, and takeaways.
Beyond the field, Webb served as a facilitator for CSU Pueblo's Built 4 Life program, helping student-athletes develop leadership skills, personal identity, and life-readiness habits. His commitment to developing the whole person—not just the athlete—has become a hallmark of his coaching philosophy.
Prior to entering the coaching profession, Webb enjoyed a six-year NCAA Division II playing career at Western New Mexico, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Colorado State University Pueblo. A standout safety, he earned All-Conference honors while recording more than 150 career tackles. Known for his instincts, physicality, and leadership, Webb gained valuable experience competing in championship-caliber programs and developed a deep understanding of elite defensive football.
Webb began his coaching career at Mica Mountain High School in Arizona, where he worked with the defensive backs during the program's 2024 4A State Championship season. There, he assisted with the development of defensive philosophy, led position-specific drills during offseason workouts, and demonstrated an early talent for teaching technique and player development.
A coach rooted in faith, service, and mentorship, Webb approaches the profession with a player-centered mindset focused on academic, athletic, and spiritual growth. His energy, authenticity, and ability to connect with student-athletes have earned praise throughout his coaching journey.
Webb holds a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning from Western New Mexico University and a Master of Education in Leadership from Colorado State University Pueblo. His educational background complements a coaching philosophy built on growth, accountability, and the development of young men both on and off the field.
In the summer of 2025, Webb married the former Samantha Fuentes.
