Gavin Nolan

Gavin Nolan joins Azusa Pacific as an assistant coach for the women's water polo program, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, club and Olympic Development Program levels.

Nolan most recently served as the Head Coach of Aquatics at Citrus College, where he oversaw the men's and women's water polo programs along with the swimming and diving programs. After leading the men's aquatics program for four years, he was promoted to direct the college's entire aquatics department. At Citrus, Nolan managed all aspects of the program, including practice planning, player development, equipment management, travel coordination and tournament operations while emphasizing student-athlete development, competitive excellence, accountability, leadership and academic success.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Nolan has sexrved as the head coach at Rancho Cucamonga High School since 2018 after previously leading the program at Alta Loma High School from 2014-18. He is also the co-founder of Rancho Tsunami Water Polo Club and serves as the club's Age Group Technical Director, overseeing player development and helping guide athletes through the collegiate recruiting process.

Nolan has also coached with USA Water Polo's Olympic Development Program since 2019, working with many of Southern California's top age-group athletes. His experience spans the collegiate, high school, club and Olympic Development Program levels, where he has focused on player development, technical instruction and building successful team cultures.

Nolan earned an Associate of Science degree in Kinesiology from Citrus College in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of North Dakota.
