Bryan Fisher

Bryan Fisher serves as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics Development at Azusa Pacific University.

Fisher joined the Cougars with more than a decade of collegiate basketball coaching and operations experience across the NCAA Division I and II levels, including stops at Cal Lutheran, Western Oregon and Northern Arizona.

Prior to arriving at Azusa Pacific, Fisher served as the Associate Head Coach at Cal Lutheran University, where he helped guide the Kingsmen to the 2025 SCIAC Regular Season Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Serving as the program’s offensive coordinator, Fisher helped increase Cal Lutheran’s scoring average by nearly eight points per game while also improving the team’s three-point shooting percentage.

His impact extended beyond offensive strategy, as Fisher played a significant role in recruiting and player development. During his time at Cal Lutheran, the program produced multiple award-winning student-athletes, including SCIAC Player of the Year and First Team All-American Devon Lewis.

Before joining Cal Lutheran, Fisher spent five seasons at Western Oregon University, first as an assistant coach and later as associate head coach. During his tenure, the Wolves produced eight All-GNAC selections, an All-Region honoree and an All-American while consistently ranking among the NCAA’s most efficient offensive teams. Fisher also contributed to the program’s academic development efforts, helping raise the team’s cumulative grade-point average above 3.0.

Fisher’s Division I experience includes three seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations at Northern Arizona University. In that role, he assisted with several areas of program administration, including team travel, scouting, recruiting operations and summer camps.

He began his collegiate basketball career at San Diego State University as a student manager under Hall of Fame head coach Steve Fisher, contributing to the Aztecs’ program during a period of sustained national success.

At Azusa Pacific, Fisher assists with player development, recruiting, scouting and the overall operation of the men’s basketball program. In his role as Director of Athletics Development, he also supports alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives and relationship-building efforts designed to advance the mission and long-term priorities of APU Athletics.

A California native, Fisher earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from San Diego State University in 2016 and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2018.
