Cindy DeLeon enters her fifth season as the lead assistant for the Cougar women's water program. The 2008 Cal State East Bay graduate brings extensive experience and knowledge, having competed at the collegiate level for the Pioneers, and participating in International competition, most notably when she captained a team that won the Canadian International Gold Cup.

DeLeon coached the Walnut High School team to its first CIF championship in 2010, and has served as an assistant at Glendora High School and Mt. San Antonio College, where she played at for two seasons prior to transferring to Cal State East Bay.

During her prep career she earned first-team All-CIF honors while playing alongside current Azusa Pacific head coach Julie Snodgrass at Rowland High School. Snodgrass and DeLeon helped guide Rowland HS to a perfect season in 2003, culminating with the CIF championship.
