THIS YEAR:  Freshman Leanne Stennett is a good all-around volleyball player who should be in the mix for a starting spot as an outside hitter … Is good defensively, which will allow her to play all rotations … Should immediately contribute. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 seasons of varsity volleyball for head coach Dexter Harvey at San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, Calif. … Was a 3-time all-league pick … Led the Mustangs to a 27-7 campaign and the Coastal North League title in her 2006 senior campaign, earning league MVP and All-CIF first team honors … Was named to the San Diego Union Tribune Academic Team … Also played 2 seasons of varsity basketball. 

PERSONAL:  Born Dec. 22, 1988, in La Jolla, Calif., to John and Lana Stennett … Father played basketball at Linfield (Ore.) … Majoring in applied health and would like to eventually become a physical therapist … Enjoys being active, listing wakeboarding, swimming, dancing, yoga, hiking and biking as favorite activities … Also enjoys writing, taking pictures and listening to country music.
