THIS YEAR: Senior Jenelle Loewen enters her second season at Azusa Pacific after redshirting last year … Brings length and valuable collegiate experience from Providence Christian College and is expected to compete for playing time in the Cougar front-row rotation.

PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN: Spent 3 years at Providence Christian College, a former NAIA program out of Pasadena, Calif. … As a 2024 junior, appeared in 30 matches, starting 28 … Tallied 251 kills with a .210 hitting percentage, scoring a total of 299 points while earning All-California Pacific Athletic Conference second team honors … Tallied a career-high 18 kills in a 4-set victory over Simpson … Had 17 kills in a 5-set win over Caltech … Recorded 9 kills in a match against UC Merced … Was a 2-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered 3 years at Paso Robles (Calif.) High, from where she graduated in 2022 … Ranks among PRHS’s all-time leaders in kills … Averaged 3.20 kills per set and was among the top players in service aces with 140 total aces … Held a 3.68 average points per set … Accumulated 1,857 total points … Set the school record for most matches played in a career … Also played 2 years of basketball and another year in beach volleyball.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 30, 2004, in Templeton, Calif.,  … Twin sister, Jacey, plays on the APU volleyball team … Older sister, Jayden, played basketball at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo … Working towards her master’s in Teaching with the hope of becoming an elementary school teacher … Has played internationally in Italy, Portugal, and Croatia … Enjoys the TV sitcom Friends.
