THIS YEAR: An all-around talent, newcomer Heather Flores will be pushing for time as a setter and defensive specialist … Can do everything on the court … Is able to run a variety of offenses … Mixes the tempo of the attack … Is a high energy player … Also hits and serves well.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity volleyball under head coach Dave Allenbaugh at Centennial High … Had a stellar prep career as a setter that included several records … Set a Huskies' career assist mark (2,326) … Broke the record for most assists in a season as a senior with 984 breaking her own mark she set junior year of 746 assists … Also had 60 assists in 1 match, which set a new mark … Selected as a scholar athlete during all 4 seasons of prep competition … Was a 2-time member of the All-Mountain View League first team … Was the team captain and MVP during her junior and senior seasons … As a senior earned MVP honors of the Hemet Tournament … Led her team to a 39-9 record during her final 2 seasons … Twice won the team's Coach's Award.
