The 2017 season will be Wright's second at Azusa Pacific.
During her first year with the program she helped coach the hitters to the top half of the PacWest conference. More over, she played a key role in helping Julianne Miller to the league's Freshman of the Year honor.
As a player, Wright was a standout player for California Baptist after transferring from San Diego State. During her collegiate playing days she named the Mountain West conference Newcomer of the Year. She earned NCAA Division AVCA All-American honorable mention accolades in 2014.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree from San Diego State (B.A. - Social Science) then earned a 4.0 GPA while attainting her Master's Degree in Disabilitiy Studies from California Baptist.
Formerly Michelle Waber, she was married in May of 2017.
