HIGH SCHOOL: Played three seasons of varsity baseball for head coach Jeff Baumback at Redondo Beach High School in Redondo Beach, Calif. ... As a senior batted .414 as a leadoff hitter and cleanup hitter, earning All-Bay League honors... Recorded 11 stolen bases, and registered a walk-off two run double, while helping the Sea Hawks to the CIF postseason as the starting center fielder... Helped Redondo Beach to the CIF playoffs, and a third place Bay League finish as a junior, splitting time between second base and left field.
